Today Disney released a new clip for their upcoming comedy ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY starring Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner. In theaters Oct. 10, 2014, Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—and soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
It is Disney’s adaptation of the children’s book of the same name that was published in 1972 by Judith Viorst. The biggest difference, if you remember the book which I by the way still have a copy of, is that in the book it seems only Alexander is have a “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day”. From falling asleep with gum in his mouth and waking up with it in his hair, to losing his best friend Paul to a new friend, to having to wear his railroad-train pajamas to bed Alexander is having a day. In the movie it seems that everyone is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I may have the entire booked memorized, it being my second favorite children’s book of all time, second only to “Harold And The Purple Crayon” and I can’t wait to see how it is brought to the big screen.
Check out this hysterical new clip where Anthony (Dylan Minnette), Alexander’s brother asks Celia (Bella Thorne) to the prom and just when he thinks he can celebrate his date, well you will see, check it out.
