HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS premiered at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) with rave reviews on Sunday. Based on the best-selling novel by Francois Lelord, HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS is directed by Peter Chelsom and stars Simon Pegg, Toni Collette, Rosamund Pike, Stellan Skarsgård, Jean Reno and Christopher Plummer.

Hector (Simon Pegg) is a quirky psychiatrist who has become fed up with his boring life. He feels like a fraud, he sits with patients each day telling them how to enjoy life while he hasn’t really experienced life for himself, and his patients, well they aren’t getting any happier. So Hector decides to break free from the boring routine that is his life and embark on a journey of happiness. Armed with buckets of courage and child-like curiosity, he embarks on a global quest in hopes of uncovering the elusive secret formula for true happiness.

The major selling point to this adventure is most certainly the hilarious Simon Pegg ( HOT FUZZ, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, PAUL) he always brings a wonderful charismatic performance to every project. There are some great moments in the trailer that prove Pegg will once again have you in a fit of laughter. HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS opens in NY and LA on September 19, 2014, with a limited release on September 26, 2014 so look out for it in a theatre near you if you are looking for a little happiness in your life.

If you have not checked out the trailer make sure and check it out.
