The Entertainment Weekly Holiday Movie Preview edition showcases Disney’s INTO THE WOODS with a feature called “An exclusive look at this winter’s most wickedly beautiful film” that hits magazine stands this week with four different enchanting covers. The feature includes an inside look at the film with interviews from the filmmakers and cast as well as photos and concept art of the films characters. EW.com is also debuting the featurette “A look inside INTO THE WOODS” with additional interviews and new film footage.

The film stars Meryl Streep, James Corden, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Daniel Huttlestone, Tracey Ullman, Lilla Crawford and Johnny Depp each taking on characters from the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales. INTO THE WOODS is a magical and heartfelt musical that intertwines the classic stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel which are all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife.
Rob Marshall, behind the Academy Award Winning musical CHICAGO and Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES will direct the film with a screenplay written by James Lapine , who won a Tony Award for the original musical. The film is produced by John DeLuca, Marshall, “Wicked” producer Marc Platt and Callum McDougall.
INTO THE WOODS looks every bit as fantastical as a fairy tale should all while staying a bit grounded by the story of the Baker and his Wife. Each picture in the EW feature is more beautiful than the last and Emily Blunt seemed to agree saying:
”I found the whole set was just so transporting, I thought it was magical”
