From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES, the third in a trilogy of films adapting “The Hobbit,” by J.R.R. Tolkien. The final film brings us to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. After reclaiming their homeland from Smaug, they have unkowingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Furious, Smaug rains his fiery wrath upon the men, women and children of Lake-town. Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard his new found treasure, as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But of course there are even graver dangers ahead. Unseen by anyone but Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent the legions of Orcs to attack Lonely Mountain. Soon the Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.
It is bitter sweet to think that this will be the last film we will see of these beloved characters and stories. It has been a wonderful journey to middle earth, with each trilogy and each film better than the last. But like so many other amazing franchises, all good things must come to an end. Take a look at this new clip from THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES called “I’m not asking you to allow it” and let us know if you are excited to see the final film in the franchise.
