This week Marvel released the first teaser trailer and official poster for the highly anticipated film ANT-MAN. With a star-studded cast, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Judy Greer, Tip “Ti” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Jordi Mollà and Michael Douglas, ANT-MAN brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen this year. The film is described as follows:
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
While I get the meaning, scale, and thought process behind this official poster it just doesn’t do it for me. Marvel and Disney have done an amazing job at bringing our beloved superheroes to the big screen but ANT-MAN is not as well-known as many of the other characters are so I wish the poster was a little more enticing. Luckily this first teaser trailer is more than impressive and makes up for the boring poster. I have watched this trailer at least a dozen times and each time I get more and more exciting and giggle like a school girl every time Rudd says:
“One question, is it too late to change the name?”
Check out this exciting first look here and let us know if you are as excited as we are for ANT-MAN.
