The Super Bowl is the most watched TV event all year long so it only seems natural that movie studios monopolize on all those viewers by releasing some amazing never before seen trailers. If you are anything like me you were so stressed out by the game that you couldn’t give each trailer the love and attention that they so deserved. So here are all the trailers that dropped during the Big Game.
The film almost every woman in America is waiting for and most men are probably dreading set to hit theatres on the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day of course, is FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. Here is the steamy new trailer that dropped today.
TED 2 the sequel to the hilarious 2012 film TED not only had a great new trailer it also starred the winning team, the New England Patriots, star quarter back Tom Brady. Apparently Brady can throw a teddy bear just as well as he can throw a football. Check out the new trailer here.
Quite possibly the most epic trailer during the big game was non other than the trailer for JURASSIC WORLD. We have waited 14 years to return to the world of JURASSIC PARK and even longer to return to the land of Isla Nublar. Starring Chris Pratt and Judy Greer, taking place ten years after the original film we finally get to return to the theme park as originally envisioned by John Hammond. If this trailer does not get you excited about this film then we may not be able to be friends. Check out the fantastic trailer here.
If you want to see what I looked like while watching today’s game minus the ripping off of the pants, then make sure and check out everyone’s favorite little yellow friends from DESPICABLE ME. Yes even the MINIONS made an appearance today. In case you missed it you can watch it here.
The on trailer I most definitely missed and needed to check out again was the trailer for SEVENTH SON. I don’t know much about this movie but it looks like it could be pretty fantastic. I am a huge fan of fantasy and love films like THE LORD OF THE RINGS and HARRY POTTER and this definitely has the same feel as TLOTR. The film is based on the novel The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch by Joseph Delaney. Starring Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore, and Jeff Bridges SEVENTH SONS is the story of Young Thomas (Barnes) who is apprenticed to the local Spook to learn to fight evil spirits. His first great challenge comes when the powerful Mother Malkin (Moore) escapes her confinement while the Spook is away. Not really sure of that helps or confuse you more but the trailer is pretty convincing, check it out here.
Lastly and most definitely the most exciting Super Bowl trailer was FURIOUS 7. How do you make any action film better? How do you make an exciting action franchise even more exciting? Just add Jason Statham! It is no surprise that I am a huge fan of the FAST AND FURIOUS, other than that one film that I won’t mention (cough Tokyo Drift) I have truly enjoyed every single film. Unlike many other franchises the sequels just keep getting better and has become my favorite guilty pleasure franchise. After FAST & FURIOUS 6 I didn’t think it could get any better and then I saw this trailer. Proving that cars can fly, The Rock is completely Bad Ass, Statham is a wonderful addition and that family always comes first this trailer literally had me cheering out loud. It is better sweet and almost difficult to see the late Paul Walker on-screen doing what he so loved to do, but even more reason why this movie will not only kick ass, but we should all show up in huge numbers on opening weekend in memory of his awesome life. Check out my favorite Super Bowl trailer here.
Don’t forget to check out The Epic Trailers During The Big Game – Part 2 which will cover TOMORROWLAND, TERMINATOR GENISYS, THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE OUT WATER, and HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2.
