Come On and Slam: SPACE JAM 2 Confirmed!

In a move that has everyone’s inner 90s Kid shrieking in unmitigated glee, WB has confirmed that yes, SPACE JAM 2 is a thing that is happening. Finally.

Yesterday afternoon, Warner Bros. Entertainment announced a partnership with pro basketball player Lebron James’ production company, SpringHill Entertainment, that will cover TV, movies, and digital projects. The icing on this cake is the tweet posted by WB’s Roadshow Entertainment in response to fan queries. Take a look:

That’s right: SPACE JAM 2 is finally being made, and it will star Lebron James.

I can’t vouch for anyone else, but my childhood definitely included a healthy dose of Michael Jordan teaming up with the Looney Tunes to play a high-stakes game of basketball with evil talent-stealing corporate aliens. I cannot wait to see what WB and Lebron James will do with a sequel.

Are you looking forward to the sequel? What do you want to see in the new movie? Are you going to pop your Space Jam VHS (or DVD…I keep up with the times, I promise) into your TV tonight for a celebratory watch? What’s your favorite song from the iconic soundtrack? Comment below, tell us what you think, and stay tuned to the Movie Chickk for further developments!
