It may be Monday Night Football and the first day for STAR WARS fans everywhere to get their advanced tickets, but the only thing this geek and every geek in this galaxy is talking about is the brand new trailer and look at STAR WARS EPISODE VII. The trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS was debuted tonight during the half-time show, the crowd went wild and the force may have just broken the internet but that isn’t stopping us from sharing this epic trailer with you.
I am praying Yoda stays on my side and makes me a Jedi at least until I finish this post, because the excitement is killing me and it’s really hard to type through tears because yes I totally teared up from this trailer. At last, I have a trailer that gives me the STAR WARS I have been waiting for. Now before you use the force to yell at me you have to understand that while I enjoyed the glimpse’s we have been given into the new feature film I also felt dissatisfied. I loved the pure nostalgia of them but yearned for more, all without ruining it for me. I know, I know I am asking for a lot but I knew it would come and just like the dark side it came quick and took over me. Of course they save the best for last and made the final trailer for the film the best one and anyone who says otherwise well, we can’t be friends.
The first trailer gave us a glimpse at the long overdue return of the Millennium Falcon and even a look at the franchise’s new leads Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and my personal favorite Oscar Isaac. We got an exciting glimpse of the new lightsaber and heard briefly from the legendary voice that is Andy Serkis. It also gave us an idea of what the theme of the new film would be, and its all about “the dark side and the light.”
The second trailer was all about nostalgia. We heard from Mark Hamill who narrates the trailer and we got to see the glorious return of Harrison Ford as Han Solo standing next to Chewbacca, the loyalist of all companions. But the trailer didn’t give us much else and fell flat for me. I loved seeing my old favorites return but I wanted more or at least some more plot details.
This third trailer gave me everything I wanted and more. I finally got to see Princess Leia, played by Miss Carrie Fisher, the most bad ass woman in the galaxy return. We got plenty of action, starfighters and an even closer look at the world that is Star Wars and it looks stunning. We also got even more dialogue, letting us hear from the characters telling us a bit more about what we can expect from the new film.
“There were stories about what happened.”
“It’s true all of it, the dark side… the Jedi… their real.”

“The force its calling to you, just let it in.”
